The Team

Sam Bourgein

Mr Sam Bourgein - MCSP PGCert

Sam has worked as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for many years in sports, the private sector and National Health Service in Oxford and London. In 2017 he spent two years working at renowned clinics in Wellington, New Zealand and both Melbourne and Sydney in Australia. Sam is a fully qualified Independent Prescriber (IP) and Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Sonographer and also qualified to provide Ultrasound Guided (USGI) intra-articular and muscular injections for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. "The most rewarding thing about my job is meeting new people and helping them get back to doing the things they love. Unfortunately many patients do not get the right treatment at the right time, or are over-treated with out of date techniques. Being able to provide leading musculoskeletal care is something I am very proud of".

Joe Meara

Mr Joe Meara - MCSP PGCert

Joe qualified as a physiotherapist in 2002 and has worked within the National Health Service for many years. He has also worked privately and within elite sport. Joe has a special interest in persistent/chronic pain, as well as integrating ultrasound imaging into everyday musculoskeletal care. "I feel that many people are let down by the complexity of healthcare and the large amount of misinformation when dealing with injury and pain. My goal is to break down these barriers to empower patients to self-manage and minimise reliance on un-necessary interventions". Joe has a passion for all sports, particularly those involving riding a board. He also has a keen interest in all things two-wheeled including adventure motorcycles and mountain biking.
